What Is Eyebrow Threading?

Eyebrow Threading is a practice of shaping the eyebrows using a cotton thread.  The twisting action of the thread traps the hair and lifts it out of the follicle.  It is a very gentle, sanitary and painless way of removing unwanted facial hair.

It is a common method used in India, China and other Eastern Countries.  Threading is also used to move hair from the upper and lower lip as well as other areas of the face and body.  This method of hair removal is more effective and less painful than tweezing and waxing.  Hair re-growth becomes finer and more sparse after regular treatments.

In distinction to waxing, the top layers of skin are not peeled or traumatized in the process.  The result is a safe, simple and highly effective method of hair removal.  Because there is minimal chance of irritation, it is preferred and suggested for sensitive skin.

Threading offers an effective method of hair removal without the increased chances of wrinkles and peeled skin unlike waxing.  It is also an excellent option for those that cannot wax - such as those using Retin-A, Accutane, Renova, Retinol, etc.

Why is Threading better than Waxing or Tweezing?

Threading is more precise and the hair grows back finer and slower.

There is no burning, peeling or irritation and a great remedy for in-     grown hair.

No chemicals or side effects.

No allergic reactions.

No soreness or swelling after Threading.

Little to no redness.

Skin will not sag over time due to the pulling effects and cell damage that wax can cause.

Ok to sun bathe or go in tanning bed immediately after Threading.

Ok to apply makeup immediately after Threading.

Takes approx. 2-8 weeks for hair re-growth.

Can be done on any area of the body that has hair growth, such as eyebrows, upper lip, cheeks, forehead, chin, neck, legs, arms, underarm, bikini line and beards and mustaches on men.
